I am a family doctor dedicated to helping individuals overcome health challenges through a combination of health coaching, mindfulness, and psychotherapeutic methods, specialising in addiction, chronic pain, insomnia and managing long term conditions.
Why might you see me:
Addiction – when we think of addiction we often think of alcohol, smoking or drugs, but increasingly it includes food and other habits that we no longer feel helpful for our life.
- Exploring whether there is something in your life you would like to change
- You have identified you have something that you would like to change but are struggling to do so.
- You have made the change and would like to look at ways of consolidating this or increasing wellbeing.
Chronic Pain
- You have been diagnosed or suffer with chronic pain. This has normally lasted more than 3 months, this may be back/ neck or other body pain, chronic headaches, or generalised pain syndromes such as fibromyalgia.
Insomnia
- This can be a condition in its own right or exist along other conditions.
Long Term conditions
- You are struggling to change your health or manage your long-term conditions.
Wellbeing
- My own personal journey exploring wellbeing has included mindfulness, positive psychology, focusing and different spiritual practices. The aim of overcoming health obstacles is not simply better health but improved wellbeing.
You feel some aspect of your health condition is affected by your thinking or psychology and would like to explore and change this.
